When Michelle and Adam decided to leave the Windy City of Chicago I'm sure they didn't plan on 30MPH winds in Las Vegas on their wedding day. This was my first wedding of 2012 and I was so excited to try to some new ideas at the wonderful locations they chose. Our plan was to start at Aria and take a few family photos in front of the waterfalls and then head to Bellagio and take the signature "Crosswalk" shot. We made it to Bellagio and then it started. Not only was it windy but REALLY cold as well. Those of you who have worked with me know that I never complain about it being cold as I usually work up a little sweat throughout the shoots. It was cold. Michelle was amazing and although the wind blew her hair around and she had no jacket...she didn't complain once. Not to me at least. Our plan was to move on to Paris and the Springs Preserve but that was a bust so I made a call to a friend at a very nice hotel and pretty much begged to let us use their venue as it provided some great shots and protection from the wind. Our last stop was The Boneyard, or Neon Museum if you prefer. It's protected pretty well but I did learn that they were close to having to cancel the shoot due to the gusts.
