Being a wedding photographer in Las Vegas, the wedding capital of the world, there are many times when I don't know what a bride and groom look like, sound like, or act like until I meet them minutes before the actual ceremony. This was the case with Stephanie and David and I can say I was thrilled and excited to be a part of their wedding.
They were married at the Viva Las Vegas wedding chapel and it was my first time shooting there and I had no idea what to expect. In my mind I pictured Elvis (skinny Elvis) marrying them at the altar and Stephanie walking down the aisle to one of his tunes. However, that wasn't the setting at all and the staff at the venue was kind enough to let me sit in AND use flash during the ceremony. Flash is a rare occasion when sitting in on another photographers' turf.
Stephanie was one the most laid back brides I've met and that really is a nice thing and makes a world of difference not only when meeting them but photographing them as well. David was just the same and couldn't have been nicer and more polite than many people I've met.
We set off to Fremont St. (downtown) and the Las Vegas sign for a few photos before meeting their group back at the MGM Signature Suites for a cozy reception and cake cutting. I hope you enjoy their photos as much as I did taking them. Thank you Stephanie and David and enjoy your new life together! It was a pleasure meeting and working with you both!
